Editors Gregg H. Zoarski, M.D., and A. Orlando Ortiz, M.D., M.B.A., are Interventional Neuroradiologists, and Senior Members of the American Society of Neuroradiology.
Orlando Ortiz is Chairman of Radiology at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, New York. He is also a member of the Executive Committee for the American Society of Spine Radiology. Dr. Ortiz is a well-respected teacher with extensive experience in spinal pain interventions. He has taught in pain management courses sponsored by the ASSR, and in the Hands-On Vertebroplasty Course offered at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Gregg Zoarski is Associate Professor and Director of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He is a Member of The American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology, with particular expertise in Neurovascular and Spinal Interventions. Dr. Zoarski has been performing Percutaneous Vertebroplasty since 1995, and has been directing educational seminars and the Hands-On Vertebroplasty Course since 1998. He has recently presented the results of his research in Vertebroplasty at meetings of the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, and The American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
